So... I am worried, very worried. I have in fact, exhausted myself with worry :(
Our surrogate started bleeding last tuesday (5W6D) and an emergency scan was done which found 110HB, normal embryo/yolk sac etc and a CRL which measured upto GA 6W0D and there was no bleeding from near the sac.
She was put on bedrest for the week, and then today she had another scan as she was still bleeding and they found that there was a 23mm x 15mm area of bleed,(a Subchorionic bleed) adjacent to the sac. They also found the CRL measured up to GA 6W5D (2days under), 123 HB, which is great and near spot on, but the Subchorionic haemorrhage is larger than the sac, which Dr Evil Google says is bad news.... nasty doctor google.
So they have no admitted her to hospital to avoid any risk.
I am worried but at the same time they are taking every precaution because it is a surrogacy and it is SCI and they are wonderful.
Have you got any kind reassurance?

Hi Hun, i hope your Surro and little bean are doing ok, i will say a prayer for them both tonight, cant imagine what you are going through but stay strong they are in the best place, big squeezy hug xx
ReplyDeleteThank-you Gee x
DeleteThinking of you...try not to engage Dr. Google too much...praying for you and your little ones!
ReplyDeleteYes I got that out of my system last night I think! That's the way I play it, I do it til I'm so sick of it I don't want to do it anymore for at least a week! I'm going to just hope and will them both to be ok I think, now I know what Dr G's little helpers think (all conflicting views as usual!)
DeleteDr. Google says it could resolve too. Totally understand the anxiety, take care of yourselves through this difficult and hopefully fleeting time. A nice warm bath and/or a massage comes to mind....
ReplyDeleteThank-you Bear, x
DeleteTry to remain hopeful - I know it is scary! When I was 18 weeks pregnant with my daughter I woke up one morning completely covered in blood - it looked like something out of a horror movie. The result was a long time in the hospital. But now she is a very wonderful pain-in-the-rump miracle. Sometimes it all turns out alright especially if they catch it early and take precautionary measures - like bed rest and monitoring, which I am sure your surro is getting. When I was in the hospital I had this book on baby development. Every night I would read about what had developed during the day - that got me through the scary times because I knew that each day was one day closer to delivery day. I know that 6 weeks is a lot different than 18 weeks but I am hoping that this helps a little - We are all praying really hard for you and your little one!
ReplyDeleteThank-you so much J&B, I'm worried as the SH is larger than the sac - yours may have been too at 18 weeks but the 18wk embryo is stronger....anyway....positive thinking and praying hard is the best idea! Thank-you x
DeleteWe have our fingers and toes (and everything else) crossed for you too. This must be so scary for you, but the folks at SCI will be doing everything possible to keep everyone safe and sound. Can't imagine what this must be like for you guys at the moment.....
ReplyDelete((((((((((((((((Hugs)))))))))))))))))
Thank-you DA x
DeleteI am not a fan of Dr Google either, but from my limited research there seem to be two sides to the story, with many accounts of subchorionic haemorrhage being of little or no consequence. Try to stay as strong as you can, continue with the hope and faith that has got you to where you are today, and try to avoid Google as much as is possible. From everything you have told me, SCI sound wonderful and more than competent, I have faith that they will take the best possible care of your lovely surrogate and your precious bean. Love to you and R xx
ReplyDeleteThank-you lovely, SCI are wonderful so I'm sure they're doing everything they can x
DeleteThe only comfort I can provide is that Dr Google is the worst Dr out there, while Dr Shivani is one of the best. Ignore Dr Google! I know that's easier said than done because I do it too. We've got our fingers crossed that everything works out well. Thinking of you guys. C&B
ReplyDeleteThank-you C&B, wise wise words :) I've nearly exhausted my research so I may stop now. Hope you're well.
DeleteThinking of you and sending best wishes to you and your babies!!! Best wishes K xx
ReplyDeleteThanks K. X :)
